Methodology#

The roster and weights come from SPY holdings disclosed to the SEC on Form N-PORT, a public filing. We roll the filed weights forward using each member's subsequent price change and combine multiple share classes of the same company into one row. Return periods other than 1 day use adjusted closes, which treat dividends as reinvested. See the full constituents and weights, the S&P 500 index YTD return, or scan the S&P 500 heatmap.

What is the worst-performing S&P 500 stock in 2026?
Trade Desk (The) (TTD) is the worst-performing S&P 500 stock of 2026 so far, with a -62.8% year-to-date total return.

Where does the S&P 500 company list come from?
We derive the member roster and weights from SPY's holdings disclosed in its public SEC Form N-PORT filing, then roll weights forward with each company's price move. ChartRow does not scrape an S&P constituent page or use an S&P data feed.
